Bad Weather Route 2024

Due to the serious weather forecast for the high ground in and around Cheviot, we have changed the route to avoid the critical high ground. This will be an out-and-back route on the southern part of the course which avoids trees and larger streams, now passes both checkpoints twice, has multiple touchpoints for extraction and generally keeps to a lower elevation. The weather is still going to be extremely testing and the summits of Cushat Law, Shillhope Law and Windy Gyle will be very exposed but for far less time than you would have been had the original course been kept.
